Nothing is irrelevant in life. As an author it is essential to realize that nothing is unimportant. There is always a story waiting to be told or written. If you spot that story, it has been waiting for you to come along and to write it into a poem, story, article or blog post.

The Great Pretend

Sometimes we choose to pretend. To put on a mask and face the world. Are we always true to ourselves? Can we spot hidden gems and pearls. Perhaps we are pretending, To be someone we are not. We are just actors in a novel, Bending a storyline to our will. Life is a great and lovely pretend. We imagine and live, start to end. Life has its ups, downs, some high and some low. Identity and personality need time to grow. Sometimes we need to pretend, So that we can fulfil our destiny. Perhaps by pretending we do become, The person we were meant to be.
